Outside of her practice, Dr. Modlin-Tucker enjoys spending time with her husband, a Napa native, and their two wonderful children. Their home is filled with the playful energy of their two cats. She looks forward to partnering with you on your journey to optimal health in a warm, friendly, and supportive environment.
Nicole Peña D.O.
Nicole Peña, DO, is a licensed physician in California specializing in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (OMM/NMM). Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has always found profound meaning and purpose in caring for others.
Dr. Peña chose a career in osteopathic medicine due to its emphasis on the unity of mind, body, and spirit, the body’s innate ability to heal itself, and a holistic approach to healthcare.
Dr. Peña is a proud graduate of the University of San Diego and Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City. She completed her internship and residency in OMM/NMM at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where she also served as Chief Resident. The residency program is renowned as one of the premier training programs in the U.S. for her specialty. She has pursued additional training in Osteopathic Cranial Manipulative Medicine and Biodynamic Osteopathy via hundreds of hours of continuing medical education and extensive study with her mentors, though she considers her patients to be her greatest teachers.
Currently, Dr. Peña serves as the interim Senior Associate Dean and OMM Department Chair at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM). She served on the Board of the Osteopathic Cranial Academy (OCA) and teaches in the OCA introductory courses, and locally and nationally at various continuing medical education courses and conferences. In her roles, she remains deeply involved in teaching medical students, developing curriculum and leading the Healer’s Art Elective Course. She enjoys being in service to the community through TUCOM’s clinics and student-run service events.
Dr. Peña is a devoted mother of three wonderful children, and she approaches her work with a deep passion and love for osteopathy. She is also known for her ability to listen deeply, meeting each patient where they are, and facilitating their inherent healing capacity to guide them to their optimal state of health. With extensive experience treating patients of all ages, including newborns, children, and critically ill patients, she values working with pregnant and postpartum women as they navigate natural physical and physiological changes.
Dr. Peña looks forward to accompanying each patient on their journey to a fuller expression of their health.
